“A DIFFERENT SPIN ON INNOVATION!” – SUPPORTING THE LAUNCH OF AN INNOVATION PARK

In the fall of 2015, the Park Innovaare offices opened in the immediate vicinity of the Paul Scherrer Institute. We were asked to send out a strong signal to the public by means of a launch media event.

SOLUTION

To publicize the opening as broadly as possible in Switzerland and abroad, we held an exclusive symposium and media event. Political representatives of the canton and the federal government as well as other handpicked guests and journalists were invited. Taking the example of Park Innovaare, the participants engaged in controversial debate about the success criteria for promoting innovation. All the relevant media from Aargau and German-speaking Switzerland were represented at the event. In the subsequent months, the compelling narrative of Park Innovaare enabled us to tell a credible story and implement a sustainable public relations strategy.

  • Symposium with political representatives and experts, moderated by the former head of one of Switzerland’s leading think tanks
  • Guests: Political representatives of the canton and the federal government, well-known individuals from Aargau, all the key media from German-speaking Switzerland

  • Beforehand: two-page spread in Swiss daily newspaper Tages-Anzeiger
  • Afterwards: reporting in all Aargau media
  • Afterwards: article in Swiss daily newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, report on Swiss TV news show “Tagesschau”
